Today I the featured artist on the Dinner@8 Blog  http://dinnerateightartists.blogspot.ca/2013/07/artist-profile-sherry-kleinman.html

My piece Waiting Expectantly featured here in this blog post is my contribution to the exhibit.   My piece Waiting Expectantly featured here in this blog post is my contribution to the exhibit.  My piece Waiting Expectantly featured here in this blog post is my contribution to the exhibit.  There you will find artist interviews of the 33 artists that are part of the exhibit called Exquisite Moments, curated by Jamie Fingal and Leslie Tucker Jennison, that will premier at the International Quilt Festival in Long Beach August 1-4.   Check out the blog to be inspired by all the interviews (one each day from June 3rd through July 19th)…and hopefully you can see the exhibit in Long Beach or in Houston (in October).

My piece Waiting Expectantly featured here in this blog post is my contribution to the exhibit.  I loved being pregnant with each of my 3 daughters and tried to convey that memory with my art.
My inspiration was a photo I took of Rosie, an artist model who was 8 months pregnant, who gave birth soon after this photo to a beautiful baby girl.

Thanks Monique…yes I look forward to seeing more of your photos, I liked the card you already sent to me. I’ll send you an email with more details about the apps I have used. It is fun to explore something new and translate it into fabric and stitch. Happy Summer!
